Hot Days

Tenants Notice:  The next few days we will be experiencing record temperatures that will make it difficult for most Air Conditioners to keep your residence at normally comfortable temperatures.

Here are some tips to keep your Air Conditioning working over through the hot days:

1) Be sure to change your HVAC filter.  A clean filter allows the HVAC to work more efficiently.
2) Keep blinds and curtains closed to keep the Sun from heating the house during the day.
3) Refrain from cooking with the Stove or Oven as this will heat the house from within.
4) Refrain from using hot water as this will heat the house from within and pull energy away from the HVAC  unit.
5) Set your Thermostat to no more than 30 degrees below the temperature outside as HVAC units will start to freeze up if they work too hard to cool the interior of your home.

We are fielding HVAC maintenance requests as efficiently as we can.  Please keep in mind that it could be days before approval and funding is in place to repair broken units.  It is highly advisable that you keep the above tips in mind over the next few days and work to keep your HVAC working efficiently during these record temperature days.
